Tour - Basic Tequila Tour

The tour departs from Guadalajara to the town of Amatitan to visit the Hacienda San Jose del Refugio. This 19th-century hacienda houses the Tequila Herradura, which is world-renowned. Here, you’ll learn about the different types of tequila, and how they are made. Next, you will visit the 153-year-old Old Museum Factory for a dynamic tequila tasting. Then, you’ll continue on to visit the magical town of Tequila to enjoy some free time and lunch (lunch is not included).

Tour - Chapala Tour

During this tour, you’ll visit the lakeside area of Chapala for a day of adventure. On the way, you will stop at the famous artist Vicente Fernandez’s boutique to explore and take pictures. Next stop is the lakeside area in Ajijic, where the streets are busy with people, bright colors and art. Here, you’ll have time to visit the art galleries before the tour continues to its final destination. Once you reach Chapala, you will visit the House of Culture; the former railroad station; the Chapala pier where you can see the lighthouse; Temple of San Francis; the City Hall; and the former Nido Hotel with its beautiful mural. You’ll also have time to stop for lunch before returning to Guadalajara (lunch is not included).

Tour - Full Tequila Tour

On this tour, you’ll head to Amatitan village to visit the old Hacienda San Jose del Refugio. The 19th-century hacienda houses the Tequila Herradura, which is world-renowned. Here, you will learn about the different types of tequila, and how they are made. Next, you will visit the 153-year-old Old Factory Museum to witness the harvesting of agave, and taste-test different tequilas. The tour will continue to the magical town of Tequila. Here, you’ll explore different points of interest via a trolleybus. You’ll explore a smaller hacienda for more tequila and agave liqueur tasting; as well as other areas of the town. The tour will wrap up with lunch in a local, underground restaurant, a visit to the Jose Cuervo gallery boutique, and a final tequila tasting before heading back to Guadalajara.

Tour - Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque Tour

Begin your day at the historical center of Guadalajara, in front of Palacio de Gobierno, the government palace. During your tour, you’ll see the famous murals of Jose Clemente Orozco, the Plaza de Armas and the Circle of Illustrious Men and Women of Jalisco. Next stop is the Metropolitan Cathedral, where you’ll hear stories of its venerated saint. Then, you’ll tour Liberation Plaza, and pass by the Degollado Theatre, which is a Neo-classic building that is home to the Fountain of the Founders of Guadalajara. From here, you will walk through the Plaza Tapatia to the Cabañas Cultural Center. After exploring the different sites, the tour will head to the town adjacent to Guadalajara, San Pedro Tlaquepaque. Famous for its crafts, you can browse the city’s main avenue for shopping. The tour will also visit the art gallery of the famous artist Sergio Bustamante to admire his eccentric sculptures Your tour will wrap up with a nice lunch before returning back to Guadalajara (lunch is not included).
